* Getting to know interesting people - both on the bus and in the communities we visit
* Visiting the dairy farm
* Eating fudge
* Having great conversations and lots of laughs

Looking Forward To

As a 2009 Michigan Road Scholar, I am looking forward to:

-Getting to know other U of M colleagues
-Seeing the wind farm
-Experiencing the prison system
-Gaining knowledge about sustainability
-Time out of the office :)

1. no papers to grade
2. talking with my bus buddies (not twittering, c-tooling, Dreamweaving, emailing...)
3. genuine Michigan cuisine
4. factory tours (do we get to wear hardhats?)
5. that ferry ride to Mackinac

what I am looking forward to...

1. Getting out of my office!
2. Talking, not lecturing.
3. Getting yelled at to get on the bus, as if I were a kid at camp.
